Transmission work is the core of our shop. We diagnose transmission problems, make repairs when appropriate and handle complete rebuilds when that's what the job requires.

Transfer-case rebuilding and installation for pickups and SUVs, including older vehicles. It's work our shop continues to handle for local truck owners.
- 03 Transaxles & Seals
Transaxle and seal work, including leaks and case-related repairs. If another repair hasn't solved the problem, we're happy to take another look.
- 04 Transmission Coolers
Transmission cooler service when it's part of the transmission job, from repair and replacement to making sure the cooling side of the system is ready to support the transmission.

40 Years in the Same Baytown Shop
Carl's Transmissions opened at 1230 N Market Loop in August 1986. We've been part of the Baytown automotive community ever since.
The shop has been BBB Accredited since 1995 and currently holds an A+ rating. But the reputation we're proudest of is the one customers have built for us over the years.

Still Working on the Trucks People Want to Keep
One of our recent customers brought us a used transfer case for his 1987 Chevy pickup. We rebuilt the case, then installed it when he brought the truck in.
